'Open Invitation' Wood Canvas (SOLD)
'Open Invitation' Wood Canvas (SOLD)
Original painting on canvas by Mark Groaning. This painting is very textural and you’re going to want to touch it, to feel the depth of each layer of paint, so go ahead and touch it. When you adopt it for your very own, it’s yours. Go ahead, touch it. It’s acrylic paint on wood and you can touch it all you want.
Product Description
Years prior to diving headlong into Fine Art Steel and Glass sculptures, I painted with reckless abandon. I painted on wood, steel and glass. This sculpture is painted on wood. It is a “wood canvas” that I created and then painted on, using mostly my hands and fingers, with very little “brush” work.
The scene is from a dream. A dream of floating along in a canoe, winding your way through marshes at twilight. The sky many shades of incredible purples, hazy pink and yellow reflecting in the water. The reeds casting shadows in the glass-like surface of the water that keeps you afloat...or are the clouds in the water actually clouds keeping you afloat?
